If not, let's just have a few military skirmishes between yanks and chinks. The world needs a fight between the big powers. Round one - chinks v yanks, yanks v ayatollah. Round two - yanks v Russia and yanks v kim.
The only way huawei can survive is if all the tiongs smartphone manufacturers adopt huawei's OS, ala google's android and huawei has to make it open-source. Otherwise, even if huawei has a viable alternative to android, why should consumers not buy from oppo, zte, elephone, vivo, xiaomi...

Manufacturers are irrelevant. You need the app developers (games, social media, entertainment, productivity etc) to want to develop for that new Huawei OS. And not just the Tencent/QQ/Weibo stuff from China. Otherwise, no one will buy your smartphone when it can't even run most of the apps you use everyday.
And the other Chinese phone makers are not going to take that risk.
Ah tiongs are actually very proud of WeChat, tencent, being in a cashless society as they are very advanced in such areas n if all the ah tiongs use the ah tiong developed OS, android will have a fight on its hands. Looking at Google and Android alot of android features are banned in ah tiong land. No Google, no FB, no YouTube, etc etc n ah tiongs basically take the western tech companies for a ride. So to me, for ah tiongs to use their own OS is not too hard. We in singkieland use android with YouTube etc. If singkieland phones work like ah tiong land phones with all the restrictions than android is not a big deal. This time the yanks have bitten off more than they can chew
Chinese are never united. In their 5000 year history when was the one time they were united in doing something. Someone somewhere will be undermining the collective efforts.
