The Central Narcotics Bureau arrested a total of 85 suspected drug abusers and 10 suspected drug traffickers in island-wide operations across a four-day period. Drugs worth approximately $204,000 in street value were seized. -- PHOTO: CENTRAL NARCOTICS BUREAU

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested a total of 85 suspected drug abusers and 10 suspected drug traffickers in island-wide operations across a four-day period.

The anti-drug raids were conducted at various locations including Bukit Purmei, Bedok, Hougang, Woodlands, Pasir Ris, Punggol and Jurong.

Drugs worth approximately $204,000 in street value were seized. The drugs seized included approximately 1.3kg of heroin, 9g of Ice and 14 Erimin-5 tablets.

CNB had to do alot of arrest cos recently they reported drugs cases in Singapore is dipping.However,later they realised in actual fact,it is rising.Got nothing to do with TCH.But I do agreed.TCH is much more better than WKS.

This had to do with more opposition in parliament, they were taking things too easy in the past, no spurs in their hide. Singapore prides itself for its low drug abuse, And the recent Boo Boo on drug statistic embarrassed them when it started going around the web with Keywords like "Ice" and "Rise" constantly popping up. Plus every so often when there is a drug rise, CNB will do a total drug sweep island wide, sweeping the entire island "Clean" + They tend to be slightly more active during Appraisal and Bonus period.
