I can let her share with me my bed really

Would she want to stay with you?

Actually jobs should be given priority to Local first if they are interested.
Jobs salary should not be depressed until so low that Local don't even want to try.
For example IF the Bus Company can offer $3,500/month, 8 hours per day, 5 days week
I am sure many local citizen will be willingly to try it out.
We pay more salary to Local, in return they will spent more in Singapore too.
It will keep our Singapore economy going

Company pay less salary to FT, they remit most of their money home.
Worse is they dont even stay in SG, they travel in, work & earn money.
They dont even do their shopping in here, all done in JB

Govt please invest in our local citizen, no need subsidies ... just have minimum wages for local.

Sinkie developed using foreign labour, including China coolies more than 100 years ago. And now you want this model to change when it has worked so well?

Cannot blame the mudland workers for not spending their income in SG. One bowl of char kway teow now almost $4 which is RM12. How to swallow this when it is only RM4 in mudland? No mudland pumps their vehicle in SG. All max tanks when entering the country.

Employers also unwilling to pay sinapor worker more than the wage paid to mudland work for the same work. Blame it on the paps for not fixing min wage for sinapo worker and not stopping to give out work permits to mudland workers like free biscuits.

Cheap cost labour plus taxes is the core economy functional method of Singapore.
We have been relying on this for decades.
Singaporean cannot take it the low salary job thats why government open door to ft to cope the demand.
The core method never change

Take Bus Company for example, despite using FT, depressing salary & expenses
Bus fare continue to increase year after year without fail.
So why not nationalize Bus Company & pay local citizen high wages, $4k ... etc
After deduct operating & maintenance expenses, balance profit return back to Govt coffer

Don't dream.

Bro past performance is no guarantee of future returns. What worked then may need to change now.

At 18, our boys are told to lay down their lives for the country (but cannot vote)

In their 20s and 30s, they have to contend with depressed wages due to cheap foreigners and struggle to save for HDB, marriage and retirement whilst serving out their reservists liabilities.

In their 40s and 50s, they get retrenched and replaced by cheaper workers.

In their 60s and 70s, they can only pray to have enough handouts from the government.

This is the result today of continuing a policy from 100 years ago. Who has benefited? Probably the top 20-30% of households at best.

Yours points are valid.
But unfortunately our government does not believe welfare to locals.
They believe welfare to the country economy gdp.
That's why we are all still here

You are wrong. They believe welfare to foreigners.

My usual kopitiam roti prata with egg increase from $1.50 to $ 1.80 just recently.
Everywhere the same.
Who don't want more profit if they can.
Don't blame the government on whatever high cost.
You given them the power to rule as they please

They can believe all they want and let the pot simmer till it boils over.

But they are masters of heat control as long as there are no black swan events

Kulai... so most likely a Hokkien.

Remember, not all jiuhu women are the same.

But the pappies signed FTA with many countries, and those agreements stipulate that there would be a free transfer of goods, services and labour.

Anyway I don't see giving locals a first nibble of shitty dead end jobs as 'investing in local citizens'.
