Pap should disband and reorganize into two parties for their survival- a pro capitalist Party and a Pro socialist Party like in the USA. That way there won't seem to be a need for wp. And pap still effectively rules forever.

I may not be fully satisfied with the PAP government’s policies. However, I remain loyal because I am hopeful that the PAP will deliver on its promises and hold the belief that if we together as Singaporeans preserve our right to a voice, no matter how small that voice may be, they will eventually be heard.

Has the PAP acted on what they have heard? Has the PAP taken actions on foreigners who insults sinkees? Has the PAP taken actions against employers who discriminated against sinkees? What promises have the PAP delivered? SMRT CEO says it will take him FIVE years to fix the current problems with the system ...so we have to put up with FIVE years of breakdowns and a decade more to fix new problems ....That's the PAP delivery? The PAP knew of the infrastructural inadequacies, yet it decided to import 2.3 million foreigners. Face the facts.

To be sure, the GE2011 results indicate that majority of Singaporeans voted for the PAP. We are the ones putting up “Likes” and supportive comments on the Facebook pages of LHL and PAP MPs.

If you objectively face the facts, you will realize that you have been hoodwinked. Do what is right for your country. A government that puts the interest of foreigners ahead of sinkees is committing treason.

To reverse the downward trend, I believe the PAP will have to fight GE2016 on two fronts:

One, to retain the support of the loyalists like me with continuance of policies that worked well in the past; two, to convince the Singaporeans that they have a voice.

The PAP has dug themselves in such a deep hole that any reversal will expose them to be charlatans. That's why they want to bump up the foreign population to 3.9 million. They need foreigners to keep the property market up. They need foreigners to keep the SME happy. The reality is that the PAP has no freaking idea how to bring sinkapore to the next level of development.

To Winnie - Do you think the Oppo clowns can do a better job? Come on, we all make mistakes. We can survive these problems together as one. You can support your Opp and I can support PAP, but the focus must be to go forward as one.

Even an 'O' level guy can see the problems when you increase population without increasing infrastructure. Our millionaire ministers couldn't see it? Where is the accountability? All we have heard are excuses. Sinkees have paid the price, has any ministers or the PM being held accountable for this fiasco. High inflation, transportation problem, shortage of flats, growth in unemployment of local PMET ....they can be traced back to 2.3 million foreigner policy. And now they want a 3.9 million policy. The way forward is (1) hold the government accountable ...yes, a few firings will help abit (2) freeze further intake and kick out 2 million foreigners so that sinkees can get back their lives.

PAP is fantastic govt. The PWP is actually a very good plan that will benefit Singaporeans.

The real problem is that they are weak in explaining its decision and policies.
This current set of dynamics is just not good enough. Something needs to radically change asap or they will lose more votes next election. They need to be really creative in their approach.

You don't have to wait for 2023.. You can f*ck off to your Canberra now..

Next, I strongly believe that my Party, the PAP must stop bringing in people who are not committed to the cause of Singaporeans. We have made mistakes in bringing in too many lawyers, economists, doctors who are clueless about service to the people.

I believe that if we, the PAP wants to remain relevant, we need to bring in people who can have a deep understanding of the human psyche and human condition, so that we will be able to develop policies which are encompassing and holistic.

And PAP should stop bringing in clowns like Zorro Lim and boy soldiers like Chan Chun Sing..

If the PAP doesn't listen, it will not convince people they have a voice.

If the PAP continues to make patronizing remarks, it will only serve to alienate the middle ground and harden the hearts of the opposition camp.

If the PAP insists on 6.9 million, the swing votes will begin to lose faith in PAP over time until the situation becomes irreparable.

If the PAP does not deliver on the infrastructure front, people will get more and more angry and will have less and less patience for excuses.

If the PAP does not address the low income sufferers, eventually even the traditional heartland PAP support will begin to erode.

You go back to the drawing board and come up with another plan.

I am not ashamed to call myself a PAP loyalist even in this Pro Oppo Forum.

I am aware that our group looks set to shrink very quickly in this new Internet age.

The PAP has always believed itself to think for the middle ground, and that decisions that they make are for the majority of Singaporeans. However, even as it thinks so, the middle ground has shifted, but PAP is still stuck in a middle ground they imagine to be in the early 2000s. The priorities of Singaporeans have shifted. They do not think only in terms of economic well-being but believe in ensuring a balanced society where all Singaporeans can grow together.

Only fools believe the PAP is beyond reproach. Why do sinkees think that these PAP politicians are there to serve the country? Politicians are just like businessmen. They are there to make big money. Being an MP means big bucks as all of a sudden, you see a flood of opportunities to become directors and advisers. PAP MPs are just there to serve their own interests ...if their interests coincide with national interests, they will blow their horns of their personal sacrifice. On close examination, you will see that the PAP MPs have made ZERO personal sacrifice to get into the political arena. Those who are waiting to get into Parliament are given 'jobs' with NTUC or PA until the next election, earning 5-figure salaries while doing their political work.

In other words, the PAP needs to become real for the people of Singapore. Its challenging and I as a loyalist will assist to make it real.

And the people will keep asking the question - Where is the Swiss standard of living?

The above are good points. However, unless you are one of them who can effect real changes from within the inner core/cadre pool and not just as an ordinary member or grassroot worker, your concerns and genuine desire to reform the party will not be heard or taken seriously. I wish you good luck here but to your PAP superiors, i can only say WE WILL FUCK YOU UP come 2016 to make you guys 'listen' better henceforth.
