A 50-year-old woman in South Korea received a seven-year prison sentence after planning an attack against her husband in Incheon, South Korea.
The main motive was her suspicions of infidelity.
To locate him, the woman and her daughter used illegal tracking services. The assault occurred while the man was sleeping, at which point she, with the help of her son-in-law, restrained him in order to permanently remove his male reproductive organ.
The case drew attention because the woman disposed of the severed part by throwing it into the toilet, which made it impossible for doctors to intervene to recover it.
Although the victim survived and asked for forgiveness for his wife, the court handed down a sentence for the irreversible physical damage. The son-in-law will also spend four years in prison for his collaboration in this unusual family plan.
