It's coming soon the Huawei P50 Pro

For some reason, APPLE is very successful in recent launches because they made their camera lens design a fashion-icon.

News about Huawei is less and less frequent, and those that are, as a rule, relate to the deplorable position of the company in the smartphone market due to US sanctions. The inventory of components is gradually dwindling, and it is getting closer to the point where it will not be able to produce mobile devices. The lack of components will lead to the fact that the flagship Huawei P50 series will be released in limited edition.

The information came that the company will release only one million models of the Huawei P50 series, which should run the proprietary Harmony OS operating system. Despite the fact that they may present three devices of the new family, one or two models will go on sale. And everything indicates that Huawei P50 will not be sold outside of China; it will be limited to the domestic market, which will easily digest such a small volume of devices.

Initially, it was assumed that the Huawei P50 line would debut in March; but then it was reported that its announcement was postponed to May. Now they say that new smartphones will be presented in June or July; and the Huawei MatePad Pro 2 tablet will debut in the same month. The top-end version of the Huawei P50 series will reach store shelves in August.

HUAWEI P50 PRO +

Earlier, some sources have unveiled high-quality renders of the Huawei P50 Pro + smartphone; which will lead the P50 family of flagship devices.

The images show the use of a display that bends onto the sides of the case. There is a small hole in the top center of this panel for a single selfie camera. The width of the bezels at the top and bottom is kept to a minimum.

Particularly noteworthy is the unusual multi-module rear camera. Its elements are enclosed in two circular areas, which, in turn, form a large oval block.

Based on the renders, there are a total of five sensors involved. In addition, you can see some additional elements and a flash. However, according to web sources, the final layout of the camera may be somewhat different.

That's because the sanctions remain and Huawei is running out of chips.

But expect the (patriotic) marketing PR spin to be: sold out due to overwhelming popularity, exclusive limited edition etc.

P.S: Very ugly camera bump, and good luck with 'Harmony OS'.

Chinese researchers have made a breakthrough in carbon-based semiconductor materials with higher efficiency and lower costs compared to silicon-based materials, marking a step forward in the domestic chip industry.

Issues that have long troubled the preparation of carbon-based semiconductor materials have now been solved, including material purity, density and area,

According to the latest scientific research achievement by the Beijing Institute of Carbon-based Integrated Circuits, an organization engaged in the research and development (R&D) of semiconductors.

"Carbon-based semiconductors have the advantages of lower costs, lower power consumption and higher efficiency," said Peng Lianmao, a professor with Peking University who is leading the carbon-based semiconductor project.

At present, most chips use silicon-based integrated circuit technology, and high-end chip technology has long been monopolized by foreign manufacturers.

China's imports of semiconductors have risen significantly during recent years thanks to rising domestic demand, with import value exceeding $300 billion for the first time in 2018. Nearly 85 percent of market demand depends on imports.

"Our carbon-based semiconductor research is at the world-leading level," said Peng.

The cutting-edge technology can be applied to multiple fields including national defense, satellite navigation, weather monitoring, artificial intelligence and medical equipment. And if carbon-based technology is applied to smartphones, it will greatly extend standby time due to lower power consumption.

Carbon-based semiconductor research and industrialization are indispensable parts of China's third-generation semiconductor technology, poised to equip the country with the advantages to race ahead, industry analysts said.

Xu Haitao, head of the R&D department of the Beijing Institute of Carbon-based Integrated Circuits, told the Global Times on Wednesday that due to the gap between laboratory and factory, it will be some time before technology is upgraded for the industrial application of carbon-based semiconductors. More partners are welcomed to participate in the process to accelerate the pace.

Hope the yanks give the Chicons a taste of their own medicine by stealing and reverse engineer the tech

Looks chic, but I prefer Carl Zeiss to Leica. Just personal preference :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Panasonic already had a 1-inch sensor phone several years ago but was poorly marketed.

Dont pray pray....tiong phones are on the up n up...n competition for the consumer is good.

HUAWEI P50/PRO NEW LEAK – REAR CAMERA USES A “DUAL-LOOP” DESIGN

Over the past few months, there have been multiple reports regarding the upcoming Huawei P50 series. At launch, this series will be Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone thus a lot is expected from this device. According to the reports so far, the Huawei P50 series will launch in May or June of this year. The latest leak of this upcoming flagship shows the protective cover of the series.

As of now, third-party companies already have the design of the phone is building their accessories. One of the most conspicuous features from the latest leak is the Huawei P50 Series of rear camera module design. According to Weibo blogger @DragonTwoPro, the Huawei P50 series protective case has been made and exposed in advance. The rear camera design appears like a “dual-loop runway”, just the view of a binocular. The style really simple and straightforward, many would expect something for complex for this series.

The Huawei P50 series will adopt a new outsole main camera IMX707 (may hit 1/1.18 inches). In addition to the basic lens, there are multiple auxiliary lenses, including a periscope lens. This smartphone will come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor which is a standard for Android flagships. There will also be dual speakers on the top and bottom of this smartphone.

According to previous reports, Huawei P50 will use a 6.3-inch flat screen and a center single punch-hole front lens. The dimension of the device is about 156.7 x 74 x 8.3 mm (with the upper camera raised, it is 10.6 mm). Thus, the P50 body is larger than the P40 (P40 body size is 148.9 x 71.06 x 8.5 mm).

HUAWEI P50 WILL HAVE LIMITED STOCK

Huawei is currently struggling for survival in the smartphone market. The company acknowledges this stand and a top executive recently revealed that Huawei just wants to survive. Of course, its current position is as a result of the U.S. sanctions. As its chip inventory continues to dwindle, it is slowly getting to a point where it can no longer release new smartphones. The lack of chips and other components means that the Huawei P50 series will have few units.

According to reports, Huawei will only release about a million units of the Huawei P50 series. This one million units will be for the three models in the series. With this number, you can be sure that we will not have this device outside China. This smartphone should run the proprietary Harmony OS operating system.

The best leak is that all your photos will be kept in tiong-cock servers.
