外籍漢機場申報有「玩具槍」警方稱符合槍械定義拘捕

【星島日報報道】警方公布,據報一名外籍男子前日晚上7時在機場準備乘搭飛機前往外地,男子於航空公司櫃檯寄存行李時,向航空公司職員申報擁有一支玩具槍,航空公司職員於是報案。
警方人員到場,發現男子管有一支懷疑手槍,初步調查顯示該懷疑槍械符合香港法例第238章《火器及彈藥條例》第二條中「槍械」的定義。人員檢走該支懷疑槍械作進一步檢驗。男子涉嫌「無牌管有槍械」被捕,案件交由機場警區刑事情報及支援組調查。
AP被暫控一項「無牌管有槍械」罪,案件將於1月6日上午在西九龍裁判法院提堂。警方呼籲旅客切勿攜帶任何槍械等違禁物品。任何旅客不論進出香港或過境,若攜帶槍械等違禁物品,即屬犯法。

[Sing Tao Daily] The police announced that it was reported that a foreign man was preparing to fly to the airport at 7 pm the day before yesterday. When the man deposited his luggage at the airline counter, he reported to the airline staff that he had a toy gun. The airline staff Reported.

Police officers arrived at the scene and found that the man was in possession of a suspected pistol. Initial investigations revealed that the suspected firearm met the definition of "firearm" in section 2 of the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance, Chapter 238 of the Laws of Hong Kong. Officers removed the suspected firearm for further inspection. The man was arrested for "unlicensed possession of firearms" and the case was investigated by the Criminal Intelligence and Support Unit of the airport police district.

AP was temporarily charged with one count of possession of firearms without a license. The case will appear in the West Kowloon Magistracy on the morning of January 6. Police urge passengers not to bring any prohibited items such as firearms. It is an offence for any passenger to carry prohibited items, such as firearms, whether in or out of Hong Kong or transit.
