Li Yu, the third executive recently fired by SingPost, plans to contest his termination from the company which he claims is without merit.
Yu's position, made via his LinkedIn page on Dec 24, follows that of former CEO Vincent Phang and CFO Vincent Yik, who had earlier issued a joint statement of their own.
Yu, who was heading SingPost's international business unit, says that he had refrained from making public comments "in the spirit of professionalism" but has changed his mind following the various reports in the past few days.
"I am very disappointed by the company's decision and aggrieved that the company has thought it fit to levy such allegations against me, which were wholly unnecessary."
