huat ah! Bukit Panjang to get a new 15-storey mechanised carpark

219 total lots over 3 carparks of 15 storey each = 73 total car parks per estate or 4.86 car park per floor. Not a lot of extra space added IMHO, when compared to the existing car park designs. Think PAPzi scholars trying to squeeze every inch of space for more commercial uses.. $$$$ huat ah!~

In terms of cost is $18M over 3 estates = $6M per carpark for 73 lots each carpark (219/3) = $82192 per car park lot.

Assume each car park can tahan 20 years, so total number of hours over 20 years is (365 days x 20 years x 24 hrs) = 175200hrs

So each car park lot will cost $82192/175200hrs = $0.47 per hour to park, based on building costs..

So you can see how much the car park tenderer will profit from the hourly car park charge, with the above simple costing in mind... :kma:

Foregone conclusion that car park charges are going to go up...way up!!

How I long for these to return to Singapore :

Just to make Bukit Panjang Voters happy!;)

The main contractor and supplier of car-park mechanism HAPPIESTEST.
Now Ah Long runners must exercise extra care when splashing paint and or corrosive substance on debtors car if parked on top ramp.
