i have a tough time in army reservist cos' they post me to a unit with mainly occifers and few specialists. when i mentioned about the negatives of PAP, some of the occifers started playing rank, will you pick up a fight with the occifers and end up in DB? i think bullying exist when you are not a pap supporter, take roy for eg, how he was dismissed from TTSH? you know that it's unfair dismissal but what can you do about it? no way to fight the majority sinkies who think that being a pap lackey, they will get promoted and rise fast in ranks especially most of the cronies are influential in a GLC and especially the SAF.

You pretend you are a PAP supporter, then you make them ask questions. The more question both of you asks, you know the true colors of the PAP!!

At least you don't tell them the answer, let them find out themselves.

It all depends on your unit. At my unit, we love to snigger at the PAP during canteen breaks. Of course, some of the towkays and business owners support the PAP's pro-FT policy, but they're more like along the lines of 'what to do, otherwise we'll die faster'. No hardcore grassroots super evangelist types.

Also, officers tend to mix around with their fellow officers. Non-officers mix with non-officers. It's a deeply ingrained military culture of segregation by rank. Nothing much you can do about it.

The most important thing is to serve and fuck off. Try not to lose the important stuff: your rifle, your valuables etc. Stay safe and go back home in one piece.
