Easy. Stop protecting these coffee shop cartels who fix prices
for everything. These are fat cats who can afford to keep their
businesses closed in defiance to any demands to lower prices.
Look at them. They do not even have any incentive to innovate,
change their business practices or even bother to add efficiency.
There is no incentive for these fat cats to change .

It is time to dump these cartels into the garbage pit.

Give approvals to many small food outlets and let new comers
break into the market. They will innovate, they are willing to
change , adapt and will take measures to find ways to price
their food items lower.

It is up to the government to show they really mean it when
they say they are concerned about the high cost of food.

Food courts and coffee shops food more and more fcuked up !

Quality and helping is terrible .

Those hawker coffee only 70 cent but in kopitiam 90 cent.
Thye rental that causing price increase.

This "high rental" thingy is an excuse. Used always to
justify their greed. The greed of the coffee shop owners.
Plain fat cats.

Do you know, a cup of coffee costs less than 10 cents in ingredient cost !

Do you know, that all the coffee shop tables and chairs are provided
free of cost by the Gas suppliers in exchange for a 2 year contract ?

The same with the Sign board, the lighting, fans, the TVs, the coffee / drink
stainless counter top, the hot water boilers..all of it is secured free of
cost from the gas supplier, the food commodity supplier etc. !

Rental is a killer, unless you are smart like me to buy and own my place

Stop plundering, stopy monopoly, stop Seng Siong, stop NTUC or CUNT.

Simple?

rich people like our highly paid ministers dun feel anything,,, money to them no problem....
if they cannot bring the price down, then bring them down.... not difficult right?

They use high rent as a lame excuse.
It is pure greed without any consideration or compassion.

70 cents and 90 cents taste almost same. So do the foods. The rental are the problem of the price.
Just need 30% of the current consumer change the habbit of eating out by cooking at home. Many stall will have to close shop.
When more shop close down the landlord have no choice by lowering down the rental rather than leave it empty and also less customer to buy drink.
Imagine every customer order drink the stall profit 60~90 cent. One can of coke cost only less than 40 cents but sell at $1.30.
What can customer do order food not drink?

aiyah food prices goes up because transportation costs goes up...

transportation costs goes up because petrol prices goes up...

wanna whack whack those scheming petroleum futures traders...

I cant get any drinks at 7-11 with $1 :(:(:(
You should only go to seven eleven when it's past midnight and all the other shops are closed. You're paying for their utilities on 24 hours and the cost to employ a person past midnight.
