How people reserve tables in S'pore's CBD during lunch hour
Some ingenious patrons resorted to using their handkerchiefs, making a sign or using shoes to reserve many tables.

A contributor to citizen journalism site Stomp came across this photo that showed how office workers in the Central Business District reserved seats during the busy lunch hour with unopened drink cans and their handkerchiefs.
Previously another contributor spotted a pair of shoes placed on a table at a food court in Parkway Parade to reserve it.
Reserving of tables, or 'chope' as it is known colloquially, is usually done using bags or tissue packets.
Some ingenious patrons resorted to using their staff passes, stethoscopes, making a sign or used an entire newspaper to reserve many tables.
