For those who have traded in SGX, Neratel and stamford land gives very good dividends. For Nera's history at least $30 per lot for the past 8 years or so. (gross 9.1% of current price before tax) For Stamford Land it pays the same (but gross 6% before tax). 100 lots of nera would cost $32000 and you can get back $3000 per year...of course the downside with investing in shares is there is no mechanism of compounding, and the company may disappear overnight...
