Yes you are right... My mother in law's Indon maid recomended this stall.. I think because the maid loves to hang around City Plaza area when she off on Sundays... Thats why she know the stall sells good satay.. My mom in law ordered 300 sticks from the stall for CNY open house.. Taste very good..
Yes, im thinking of selling satay madura here, not sure where you ate sate madura before, but i like it because of the sweet sauce mix with the gravy, LOL. You mean Soto Madura?
I had eaten Madura satay in various places in Indonesia. It's closer to Turkish kebab in taste; though longer with much more meat.I prefer our local variety.Madura island for your info is just an half hour boat ride from Surbaya. The best satay for my taste was eatn in JB .
Yup,Soto is also spelled as Coto....2 varieties still lingers in my mind. One is Soto Madura and the other is Soto Makassar. No body in Singapore sells these.Soto Madrura is close to our Bak Kut Teh style.Clear soup whereas Soto Makassar heavy soup and closer to our kambing soup. But Soto Madura is a favourite among Chinese in Surbaya.
Our kambing soup is no match for both soto.Unfortunately both sotos are still cooked in traditional style by natives and difficult to imitate like others.
