So, the PAP town councils passed the audit while the AHTC failed because of their inability to collect on arrears.

The PAP town councils are known to be quick to send legal warnings to residents for arrears. Would the PAP town councils make public the figure they have spent over the past decade on legal fees? If they are spending $1 million to get back $1 million, where's the gain? We won't know because there is no transparency on this and many matters.

Residents should have full access to financial information in the town councils and should have questions posed by them answered within 30 days.

the legal fees are not borned by the TCs....
its another leegitimate way to make money for the connected law firms. Win-win situation.
Every legal letter mail to resident, $20-50 the legal fee is added into the outstanding arrears of the resident.
One month one letter on standard template........cost of paper and postage stamp.....very lucrative.
Then if no response then escalate to summons to appear in court, warrant of arrest etc.....this one legal fees is few hundred bucks....again added onto the outstanding arrears. Sibei ho tan.....constant passive income for the law firms.

TC on the other hand will tambah the late fees.....if not wrong is 5% per month.....even higher than credit card rollover interests.
