when u done something wrong - whether terrible wrong or just a unwitting wrong - how long does the guilt stay with you?

how does one compromise with it and move on from there? what if one doesn't know how to overcome it? how would life be drastically changed?

i think this forum should be a platform for sharing, learning and overcoming one's predicament.

guilt is something we regret deeply after committing it. then again, it's also a learning process. u ve done, hurt is created. the next step would be HEALING PROCESS. some just continue to dwell in it and amplify the HURT and getting more people negatively affected by it. some do not regret it and continue to excerbate and enhance it. but ultimately, the final process would be HEALING.

to initiate healing, one must first learn to embrace it, accept it, then healing can begin......

i ever hurt a girl, i swear it was unintentional. after a few months, i decided not to continue and she went on with my friend and later she became his wife, causing my friend to break up with his girlfriend. me causing the girl heartache and indirectly causing another heartache on my friend's girlfriend. the truth is i never want this to happen but maybe i was young then.:o:(
