I felt so humiliated and despicable for my beloved country Singapore when I read the article “Casinos pull out all the stops to keep high rollers happy” which was published in the ST dated 21 May, 2012.

It stated in the article that the croupiers have to call one Indian gambler “Your Highness” as demanded to be called so, even though the croupiers are not sure if the gambler is a real royalty.

The croupiers are probably non-Singaporeans but nonetheless, does the Singapore’s govt has to bend so low to forgo the Singaporeans’ pride and dignity to allow such despicable thing to be happened in our owned beloved and once a proud country. All for just the ultimate objective, ie to boost our gaming (I think is more gambling) industry in order to add few economic points to our GDP growth which in any way does not benefit the common Singaporeans.

We were forced to be subjects to the British during the colonialism.

We were forced to bow to the Japanese during the Japanese Occupation.

NOW FOR SOME LOUSY MONEY, WE ARE NOW FORCED BY OUR OWNED GOVT TO CALL EVERY FOREIGNER, “FATHER” or “YOUR HIGHNESS” if demanded to be called so .

Very soon, I believe our owned govt will also allow signages like “Dogs and Singaporeans are not allowed” to be hanged at everywhere in Singapore.
I remembered vividly what our MM Lee had said before as below:

“I am often accused of interfering in the private lives of citizens. Yet, if I did not, had I not done that, we wouldn’t be here today. And I say without the slightest remorse, that we wouldn’t be here, we would not have made economic progress, if we had not intervened on very personal matters – who your neighbor is, how you live, the noise you make, how you spit, or what language you use.”"”

So, this is the Singapore and the lives we Singaporeans get now for allowing this old man to control every aspects of our lives for almost half a century.

He had also said the followings to justify the retainment of Internal Security Act to act against criminals :

“In other words, I was my own carrier of a hatchet. I needed no hatchet man. All those who have been dealt with by me know that I have never flinched from going into a dark street on a dark night and it happens to be a cul-de-sac. No outlet – either the gangster of I will come out alive.I have done this a few times. I am prepared to do this again.”

Instead of keeping to his words that is to act against criminals, he has now turned Singapore into a SINCITY which is a heaven for gamblers, prostitutes and money launderers.
