What is the normal procedure that is commonly practiced by banks ?
I'm in a situation where I have been prevented from logging into my internet banking account because either I keyed in the wrong password or the browser is not compatible. I'm not sure which is which because the system does not differentiate between wrong password, wrong user ID or incompatible internet browser.
I have spoken to the bank they expect me to fly to the country of origin to have a new password issued. That is ridiculous even though I understand the security concerns.
So for those who have accounts overseas, why do the more upmarket banks normally do that will facilitate the customer and at the same time not compromise the security ?
