A VICE sweep by the police on Friday night netted 160 women from entertainment outlets located on the outskirts of the Central Business District.
The women - aged between 18 to 36 years of age - were arrested for suspected involvement in vice-related activities and other immigration offences.
A massive turnout of 158 officers from The Home Team were involved in the six-hour sting operation.
These included officers from the Central Police Division, Criminal Investigation Department, Police Licensing Division and the Central Narcotics Bureau.
The police said in a statement on Saturday that the joint-operation was targeted at 'errant entertainment outlets' located at Jalan Besar, Jalan Sultan, South Bridge Road and Havelock Road.
Investigations against the 160 women are ongoing.
