Tan Jee Say sets up 'policy discussion hub'
Former Presidential hopeful Mr Tan Jee Say is planning to set up a "policy discussion hub" in Orchard Road.
According to The Straits Times, he has already leased a three-storey building at 38, Orchard Road, next to Dhoby Ghaut MRT, for this purpose.
Named "Heart Beat", he intends to hold policy discussions at the hub with a group of about 100 people, whom he hopes to gather by the end of the year.
Through research and brainstorming with the group, he hopes to come up with a set of alternative policies for Singapore by 2014.
These ideas will be offered to opposition parties or submitted to the government for consideration.
Ms Hazel Poa, head of the National Solidarity Party, is helping Mr Tan recruit members for the group.
