一名內地兒童，在港鐵車廂吃點心麵的短片在網上流傳，引發中港罵戰後，有內地網民在社交網站微博，發起明天集體於港鐵東鐵線進食，聲稱有超過六萬人會參與。
港鐵強調，車站的付費區及車廂內嚴禁飲食，違例可被罰款二千元。港鐵表示，能成為世界上最清潔的鐵路網絡之一，有賴乘客通力合作和自律，會繼續透過宣傳海報及廣播，提醒乘客入閘後不要飲食。
