Everyone knows about the queuing culture in Singapore and how kiasu we Singaporeans are about it -- and this guy might have gone out of his way to defend "that culture".
Stomper Alex was queuing up outside Archer's restaurant in Sentosa at around 11am on Sunday (Nov 6) when a hilarious argument broke out between a Singaporean guy and a Caucasian tourist.
Said the Stomper:
"I was queuing outside Archer's and this Caucasian guy walked in front of the queue.
"Angered by the fact that he had cut the queue, this random guy suddenly came from behind and started scolding the Caucasian for jumping the line.
"He kept saying he saw the Caucasian cutting queues earlier, and that he was still doing it."
Watch the video and you'll hear the man bombing the Caucasian guy about Singapore's queuing culture, giving him no chance to explain himself.
The video starts off with the man telling the Caucasian guy that "the queue is over here", while gesturing in the direction of the queue.
Confused, the tourist explains that he was not queuing up.
Angered by the fact that he caught the tourist skipping queues earlier that day at the cable car, the man asked the tourist, "You don't know Singapore culture ah?".
The tourist keeps repeating a word that sounds like "looking" which further annoys the man, making him ask "Looking at what? I'm looking at you skip the queue not once, but twice."
And that's not all, the man even held the tourist's shoulder towards the end of the video.
Despite all of this, the tourist was so cool about it.
The video stops as the Caucasian man whips out his phone.
According to the Stomper, the tourist later showed the man that he was using an app that allowed him to jump queues.
Said Alex:
"I had to stop recording because the guy turned and he didn't know I was filming.
"But after realising that the Caucasian dude was using an app, they both went to the corner and I guess they sorted things out.
"The argument was hilarious though, the language barrier made everything even funnier. And the guy really lose face!
"It was just a huge misunderstanding, but the guy really didn't give the tourist a chance to explain himself."
How would you have reacted if you spotted someone jumping queues?
