Yes, many multiple fatalities occur due to people getting out of their car to attend to car problems.
Another similar accident occurred some years ago, along Braddell Road.
If I remember correctly, 3 people were mowed down when they were attending to a punctured tire.

Go out of the car and face the traffic..if its at night n ur car broke down on the lane, step out n walk to the shoulder n call LTA for assistance while keeping your eye on the traffic af all times..

That is common sense. A lot of people just don't have the common sense not to linger in the shoulder lane and to move away from it quickly. In this case, they paid with their lives.

It is never a good idea to stand outside the car on an expressway. This kind of accident happens many times before.

they are very unlucky, hardly any cars on the road at that hours. Also when a car break down on the road, stay well away the car, this is basic common sense. What a waste of life, and what crappy car break down so easily, a korean car?
