Rolling 7-day mobility data based on daily mobility data published by Google.
Mapped against rolling 7-day average new case numbers.
Based on the daily data, there is good strong correlation between going to retail and leisure, mostly food & beverage venues, and the subsequent visibility of reported cases, some 2-4 weeks later.
Never understand the early small numbers, bcos these are early lead indicators or an exponential outbreak to come.
What is heartening is that we are already starting to slow down and reduce our mask down activities from about 2 weeks ago.
With the latest reduction of dining to 2 pax even for the vaccinated at restaurants for the next 1 month or so, we will reduce the mobility data further faster.
We should see results in another 1-3 weeks in terms of a slowdown, and that will relieve the pressure on our healthcare workers and hospitals, while we continue to vaccinate more unvaccinated, and continue to boost the protection for our older folks, even better than after their 1st 2 shots.
Hey, maybe our 3-shot vaccinated older folks will be as well protected as the 2-shot vaccinated younger folks?
