凌晨2時左右，警方接獲巴士公司職員報案，指一名巴士車長，懷疑在長沙灣興華街西的巴士廠內偷錢箱的現金。警員到場了解事件，經初步調查後，相信有人撬開4架巴士的錢箱，偷去大約400元現金。警方以涉嫌「盜竊」將該名51歲姓吳車長拘捕帶署。巴士公司職員在場協助警方調查。現場所見，涉事為一輛新巴。

一名新巴司機涉撬開巴士錢箱偷400元被捕。
【星島日報報道】一名51歲姓吳新巴司機凌晨約兩時，於長沙灣興華街西新巴車廠撬毀巴士錢箱偷錢，職員發現暗中報警，警員到場調查後，發現四輛新巴錢箱被撬，共損失約400元，並拘捕涉案司機。

[Monitoring self-stealing?] Suspected stealing cash box cash
At about 2 am, the Police received a report from the bus company staff, referring to a bus captain suspected of stealing cash from the cash box at the bus factory in West Wing Wah Street, Cheung Sha Wan. Police officers came to the scene to understand the incident. After preliminary investigation, I believe that some people opened the cash box of four buses and stole about 400 yuan in cash. The police arrested the 51-year-old surnamed Wu Che-hung for allegedly "theft." Bus company staff were present to assist the police in investigation. Seen at the scene, the matter involved was a new bus.

A NWF bus driver was arrested for stealing 400 yuan from the bus box.
[Sing Tao Daily reported] A 51-year-old Wu Xinba driver was about two o'clock in the morning. He smashed the bus money box at the Xinghua Street West Xinba Depot in Changsha Bay. The staff found a secret alarm. After the police officers arrived at the scene, they found four vehicles. The NWFB cash box was stolen and lost a total of about 400 yuan and arrested the driver involved.
