I was on a Uber at about 5pm yesterday (11 Jan) and the driver was listening to FM958 on his radio.

The radio station had an long coverage during the 5pm news, about an 2-hr HK's MRT Breakdown. The newscaster gave a detailed report about the impact on HK's industrial and residential district, etc and the station even broadcast an lengthy lor-soh review from their HK correspondent.

- It was like some natural disaster hit HK. Why ain't a similar level of in-depth coverage given for our local MRT breakdown? In recent memory, major and minor local train breakdowns in recent memory were just briefly reported during 958's news segments.

- Seriously, the airtime could be spent on more newsworthy contents. What does HK's MRT Breakdown got to do with me?

- HK's MRT has been renowned for their reliability and their ability to ferry passengers of greater intensity, why are our radio newscasters so sexcited over the misfortunes of others? Was it an indirect reminder that our train woes are not uncommon?

醉翁之意不在酒 It was just so distasteful.

Can't you detect inferiority complex on the sg side? That is the exact reason why they need to do a lengthy coverage on a once in a lifetime breakdown of hk mtr.

Pap always use others as bogeyman to scare dumbfuck sinkies.

They used to show tokyo’s crowded subway to bluff Sinkies that Sg’s mrt is not crowded.
They like to show Taiwan fighting parliament.
Overseas striking workings clashing with police, Unruly political protesters, natural disasters, hk’s Crowded housing, crime is jb etc to Brainwash dumb sinkies to say Sg is best
