【星島日報報道】（星島日報報道）本報昨率先報道，警方重案組持法庭手令，搜查港鐵沙中線紅磡站寫字樓，以追查施工記錄缺失等問題，但由於涉及大量資料文件，重案組昨第二天重返寫字樓，二十多名探員分成多個小組，進入不同地點蒐證逾七句鐘，至傍晚再檢走三箱文件。消息指，案中涉及六年的相關工程文件如海量，要從中找出涉事資料對證，相信要花至少一個月或以上時間，警方明天會繼續蒐證。
重案組探員再進入港鐵沙中線寫字樓蒐證。負責調查的西九龍總區重案組探員，昨上午十一時，聯同網絡安全及科技罪案科人員，分乘多輛汽車抵達都會道紅磡站對開的沙中線工程寫字樓，進行第二天蒐證。
據悉，寫字樓由港鐵與承建商禮頓共用，由於地方偌大，而且內有不同部門，警方要求路政署派員協助，分辨有關文件擺放位置以及是否與案有關，而港鐵及承建商亦派人從旁協助，禮頓則安排律師在場。
探員分頭在不同辦公室進行搜查，由於部分辦公室設在地底地盤內，搜查探員要換上長靴及戴上頭盔進入蒐證。
消息指，警方網絡安全及科技罪案科人員主要翻查寫字樓的電腦，查看是否留有缺失文件的資料，並取走電腦硬盤內一些相關及個別資料，帶返總部再詳細查看，以檢視有關記錄曾否被移除。
據了解，警方初步調查發現，自沙中線紅磡站動工興建至今近六年，涉及文件如海量，要從中查找缺失文件去向，以及是否有人曾擅改圖則等，會需要一段頗長時間，估計至少要一個月或以上；其後再要追查缺失記錄去向，以及是否有人為因素等，故目前仍難以推算何時能完成整個蒐證程序。
負責調查的探員經搜查近七句鐘，至昨傍晚六時檢走三大箱文件，但寫字樓內仍有軍裝警員駐守，重案組探員明日會返回繼續蒐證。
路政署回應本報查詢時表示，就沙中線紅磡站工程問題，已將事件轉介執法部門。署方會全力配合有關調查工作，詳情不便透露。
興建中的港鐵沙中線，接連出現失誤事件，其中紅磡站有三處地點的「檢查及測量申請表格」）（RISC表格）施工記錄缺失，其中缺失最多為北面連接隧道，原應備存總數五十九份，現只留十六份，少百分之七十三；南面連接隧道應有三十九份，現有二十五份，失百分之四十六；列車停放處應有四百七十四份，現僅一百七十四份，失去百分之六十三，缺失記錄合共達三百五十七份。

該招標公告為沙田至中環線自動收費系統設備維修保養服務，有意競投者須於3月4日或以前，經港鐵電子投標系統登記。有意競投之公司將獲邀參與資格預審，港鐵將揀選合資格之申請者投標。合約為期3年，可延長多3年。
港鐵稱，「大圍至紅磡段」的目標完工日期視乎紅磡站相關核實及安全測試的進度及結果。考慮到上述核實及安全測試，其結果可能令整體工程進度存在變數，港鐵公司已應政府要求就分段通車進行可行性研究，硏究仍在進行中，現時未有定案。
運輸及房屋局局長陳帆去年底接受立法會議員質詢時稱，自從紅磡站出現問題後，港鐵已着手研究局部開通，主要考慮整體安排能否提供較大運載力、路面交通可否配合等，而局部開通後亦需要運作暢順、可靠及符合市民期望，所以未有就研究工作設既定死線，只希望能盡快完成，並確保不論全面還是局部開通都能提供優質服務。
