【星島日報報道】警方日前拘捕支援示威者組織「星火同盟」4名成員，指涉嫌洗黑錢，並同時凍結7000萬港元。星火同盟義務律師黃國桐表示，事件令前線抗爭者人心惶惶。
黃國桐在電台節目表示，星火基金現時被凍結，無法為被捕者支付保釋金，事件令前線抗爭者人心惶惶。他又形容，警方的策略是要令前線抗爭者「要人無人，要錢無錢」，並指自己會「跑數」籌錢解決問題。
他亦指，一直有接觸在台灣生活的示威者，並指他們的情況並不理想，亦是生活捉襟見肘，並面對心理及健康問題。他續指，不知道香港是否仍有法治，還是依法治理，並指法治蘊含公平、公正、基本人權及自由等普世價值。黃國桐亦指，在自己曾支援過的被捕示威者中，其中一名被捕人只有15歲，並指在見面時抱着他痛哭，因此認為年輕抗爭者的壓力並非他們在此年紀時可以承受。
