【星島日報報道】《逃犯條例》修例爭議不斷，天主教香港教區禮儀委員會昨日發布，天主教香港教區宗座署理湯漢樞機的指示，呼籲教友在今、明兩天（18日及19日）在彌撒中，為香港社會因《逃犯條例》修訂而引起的恐慌及撕裂，及市民的安全和自由，祈求上主眷顧。
在湯漢的指示中，呼籲教友為香港社會和市民的福祉祈禱，並為香港社會及和市民的真正福祉，謀求合乎公義及誠信的解決辦法。指示又指，修例已引起市民的恐慌，因此呼籲為政府人員祈禱，幫助有關的政府人員以謙卑和虛心聆聽的態度，實事求是，保障香港市民的安全和自由。另外，指示亦呼籲，教友為香港基督徒祈禱，穩守崗位，盡忠職守，以減輕修訂《逃犯條例》帶來的傷害。
