Hong Kong police hunt for Rolex thief after knifepoint Yuen Long heist

The robber, thought to be aged between 30 and 40, wore black at the time of the incident

A police manhunt was under way on Tuesday for a robber who made off with 20 luxury watches, worth a total of HK$2.5 million (US$318,982), from a shop in northern Hong Kong after threatening staff with a knife.

Police were called shortly before 3pm when the hold-up happened in a ground-floor shop at the Hop Yick Commercial Centre on Hop Choi Street, Yuen Long.

A police spokesman said “a man rushed into the shop and threatened staff with a knife before fleeing with about 20 watches”.

Yes, the Seiko 5 range is cheaper. It's all I can afford.
