Motorcyclist killed in three-vehicle pileup along Bukit Timah Expressway

SINGAPORE : A motorcyclist was killed while another suffered multiple injuries in a three-vehicle pileup along the Bukit Timah Expressway towards Woodlands on Sunday morning.

It is believed the motorcycle skidded before it crashed.

Police said they received a call about the incident at around 6.40am and the man was pronounced dead at the scene about 20 minutes later.

MediaCorp understands that the driver of a car stopped his vehicle to avoid the motorcyclist. And in doing so, another motorcyclist, a woman in her early 20s, crashed into his car as she could not brake in time.

The woman was conscious when she was sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
