There has been another dengue death, even as the number of infections took a dive last week. A 66-year-old man has become the fourth person to die of dengue in this year's epidemic.

The latest victim was admitted to Alexandra Hospital on Tuesday last week, after a fall. It was only then that they found he had been suffering from a fever and had rashes for the previous four days.

He tested positive for dengue and was transferred to intensive care. But his condition continued to deteriorate and he died on Monday.

Last week, there were 679 new infections, a big drop from the more than 800 weekly cases seen in the previous four weeks. By 3pm on Sunday, the total number of people who have fallen ill with dengue this year stood at 12,543.

(See how the brothel press spins - 16% a BIG drop.....)

The ghosts of these four deceased should haunt Vivian and his family forever!

Vivian has been mind buggedby haze. Or got food poisoning from eating too much Indonesian food while delivering his letter.

He is probably licking his wounds as the Indons gave him the ultimate snubs.

What blind hatred. What a dumb thread!

Now every dengue death put the blame on Vivian B and the PAP? I would like to see these dumbasses eradicate dengue from SG......

BTW why Vivian B?

Ever since he said Dengue was is self-inflicted, he couldn't retract now and say it is nature. Indon minister one up.

You can't blame the government for that. If Singaporeans were more careful, the mosquitos would not be able to breed.

The fines for breeding mosquitos should be increased and jail terms imposed for second time offenders.

So we can never blame this government for anything.

We are the only nation who cant blame the government.

The government is responsible for putting policies and rules in place and all the PAP policies are excellent.

However, Singaporeans who do not follow the rules set by the government have to take personal responsibility and face the music if they are caught.
