Goodbye Moon
Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa announced he was pulling the plug on his fantastical dearMoon mission — a much ballyhooed trip that aimed to send him and a group of artists, influencers and athletes around the moon on SpaceX’s massive Starship rocket.

The news wasn’t too surprising, given just how daunting the mission would have been to pull off. What was slightly unexpected was Maezawa’s reason for the cancellation. He had anticipated a launch by the end of 2023, Maezawa said in a June 1 statement on X, Musk’s social media platform, but had to rethink when that became unfeasible.
