Heng swee keat: I want to make future singaporeans want to go to ite

Nurses are high in demand everywhere. It is a ticket for you to get out of Singapore.

Get out, yes, but limited job options. A degree is a much better choice with more freedom.

Also, working in hospital is one of the most hazardous occupation around. It is a place concentrated with the sick and dangerous virus. Not to mention, cleaning shits and all for patients. There is a reason why there is a short supply of nurse worldwide.

Also, not everyone is into nursing. It requires certain attributes e.g. caring for another human being, patience.

Sinkies should stop following govt-declared employment fads (e.g. life sciences in the early 2000s ) like obedient sheep, and instead know themselves and choose what they really want to do.

Education Minister Heng Swee Keat said that he will be working to make ITE and Poly more "attractive options" for Singaporeans....He talked about how Poly is good for this as students are learning while they are working. This sets the pace for how it should be when you enter the workforce, he explained...This will include making ITE and poly more attractive choices for future generations.*

Did he mean ITE and Poly for locals and university for foreigners with free scholarship?
