I am going to visit Yellostone and will just be tent camping with my 1 teenage, and 2 smaller girls. I hear so many people say that you cant cook at your campsite and then go to sleep or you'll be mauled to death. That's not something I want to hear but also not all sites or campgrounds have a bear box. Can anyone help with the tips to be able to bring food and store it safely to be able feed my kids for a week...I mean, do I need to use my small metal gun safe, minus guns of course, as a self made bear box? Do I have to pack up everything everytime we want to go hiking or sight seeing? Or what is safe to leave in the tent? Anything?
