While most children that age have yet to learn to tie their own shoelaces, Xin Yi is already in charge of cooking, cleaning the house and looking after her father.
As her father, who become paralysed after an accident three years ago, is bed-ridden, he is unable to care for himself. The young girl clears his stool and urine, and wipes him daily.
According to STOMP, Xin Yi was taken away from her 26-year-old father after he got into the accident but later returned to him after she was abandoned by her mother.

In the video, her father tells documentary makers that it breaks his heart to see his young daughter look after him.

A STOMP reader 12days who was very affected by the video hope that people would appreciate their lives a little more and not take the little things in life for granted.
She added: "Most of us whine and grumble when we have to do household chores, often forgetting about the people in this world who have to do worse things than just ironing the clothes.

"This story is about a girl, just three years of age, who was taken away from her father after he got into an accident which left him paralysed and immobile.

"The video shows her (Xin Yi) sweeping the floor, cooking and serving him water from a huge flask that most three-year-olds wouldn't even be able to hold up.

"Perhaps we could look at the plight of this girl, who has no option of whining or grumbling about her circumstance."
