Healthcare costs and insurance.

KNN most medical insurance will not cover supplements items but they should identify the supplements is purely a supplement or a necessity KNN e.g some elderly osteoporosis patient requires sufficent vit d in order to have the injection for osteoporosis and insurance companies refuse to cover and vit d is damn fucking expensive and not a subsidized drug KNN
hey sweetie. why need vit d ah?

singapore got so much sunshine, unless you only out at night then need.

Not if you take it every night for weeks. Lol!

But seriously the real reason is because the SMC is very strict on this. Not so with Canada.

But patients themselves would prefer to take cannabis either 1:1 or THC for sleep. Much safer and less risk of addiction as long as you take less than 7.5mg of THC per dose.
since we're on the cannabis topic, what's your opinion on glaucoma and cannabis?

How much vit D you taking?

There are vitamin D drops as well. 1 drop is 1000IU. 7 cents per drop.

Prolia is done once every 6 months.

Anyway I checked your vitamin D in sinkieland is way more expensive than here. 30 tablets for $15. Ours here is $10 for 365 tablets.
The vit d injection for beri beri needs to be prescribed and i dont think it is cheap relative to oral medication..

kalifornicate has over 69% of the year in sunshine but as we get older we also need v-d capsules, oops vitamin d3 at 2500 iu plus vitamin k-2.
yeah about that. you supplement as prophylactic or really have serum deficiency? I would think kalifornicate would be one of the last places in the world that would need d3 supplements. Maybe in WA or AK, but CA??

I have seen some patients taking CBD for glaucoma. Usually as an adjunct to their existing treatment.

The thing with CBD is it is extremely safe. No side effects. Maybe dry mouth at worst.
So you can try it and see.

Also CBD reduces the side effects of THC when used together.

The conditions where it works well would be pain anxiety and insomnia.

most likely it’s a change of diet. i’m more vegetarian now than i’ve ever been, way more than 69% vegetarian. the other is age. as folks age, kidneys don’t covert vitamin d to its active form regularly when compared to younger years. thus must supplement mah.
