He obeyed God's call to leave the Air Force and run a café – only to lose$70k

Can I ask something, example in Singapore, which religion leader is not rich?
Seems his followers slowly became poorer to make a leader rich.

If you believe god is in the sun and kept looking into the sun, one day you will "see" god in the sun smiling at you
"God had put a dream in my heart. And if it was truly God who had started it, then I had to trust that He would finish it – not in my way, but in His." - Andy Lim has admirable faith in God.

the truth is AH Kong upstairs want him to payback the taxpayers to sow good karma for himself and save him from ending up Superman from sky if continue to fly .... a Blessing lah. :whistling:

Difficult to say, because God works in mysterious ways.
I found his testimony refreshing.

Unfortunately for him, his testimony would not be complete without material success. If Joseph had not become the Prime Minister of Egypt, his brothers would not have bowed to him, and his story would not be worth a mention in the Bible.

Eventually, Andy would need to live in a condominium and drive a Lexus in order for his testimony to strike a chord with other Christians. This is the sad state of modern Christianity where the concept of faith is built on material success, and material success is in turn interpreted as proof of one's faith. Ironically, it was Satan who promised material success in the New Testament.

Damn this guy already failed his pilot training and property agent exam, and now he is in this religious zealot phase whereby he thinks God wants him to go through all these shit.

Is this the same Joseph with the amazing technicolor dreamcoat?

I find his testimony incredible since he didn't need material success as evidence of God's faithfulness and blessings in his life. Andy still has faith that God will make all things beautiful in His time. The time is just not here now.

All believers have to pass through dark tunnels before they eventually see the light. We do not want to suffer trials, but only wish to see our prayers answered. We want to only see rainbows, but forget that rain has to come before that.
