Dear oppo leaders,
Voters complained to Ah Hua (you call Mdm Lim Hwee Hua) about high HDB price and COV, did you see the spectacle ?
HDB resale price and COV and new flats price are already causing misery to many local buyers !
And just look at these voters , they are struggling to find an answer from PAP ?
The answer in fact lies with the voters , the voters are the cause, they forget they give mandate and they blame the PAP for HDB high price and ridiculous COV! Their mindset have not changed yet , thinking PAP owns the island !
You know like COE, COV is also another form of bidding ! The highest bid wins, and the property agents are happy becos their commission based on valuation plus COV ! Higher COV means more pin money for the agents !
Lower COV does not mean the price is coming down, bidding price is just an extra cost for buyers to fight over a limited supply! This is a tragic story !
And these voters want an answer from PAP ? Willing buyer and willing seller is the answer these voters may get from PAP !
Unless the sellers have two houses or willing to sleep at the void deck , buying another new flat after selling away the old is like borrowing from John to pay Peter !
High COV does not mean good economy ! Becos cash rich people benefit this legal scheme approved by HDB to get their best deal !
High resale value does reflex good economy either! Becos the surveyor valuates price based on the surrounding amenties when the cost of building is not disclosed ! 30 yrs old flat which cost around 20 to 30k now valuated at 300k to 500K, does this mean sense if you are among the 80% working on the job ! Besides , why the surveyor you engage must be HDB approved ? This system also benefits cash -rich people !
And high -price new HDB flats does not mean young couples are earning more ! They pay for 20 to 30 years for the mortgage affordably ! And you say ---oh yes, you see, it is affordable to pay 30 yrs right !
HDB comfortably tags the new flat price with reference to the resale market and private housing !
And It is easy to say HDB new flats are affordable becos the HDB resale and private apartments are man-made so expensive!
Then what about the waiting time for the new flats ? One must remember that 20k of new citizens are created and even if you build 20 k new flats , assuming 60% of them want new flats, the native citizens still face fierce competition getting new flats right !
Discovery channel is drumming up the living cites ---sinkapore is one of the talk ! You see the world think all sinkaporeans are rich right !
Wealthy people the world over are not loyal to countries, they are loyal to their wealth ! Where they think is safe to park their wealth, they go ! So you imagine 1% out of the 6 billion decide to buy houses in globalised sinkapore ? Money can buy PR right ! So you see $100k COV is like toilet papers to them right ?
One cannot say that foreigners are not the cause of high price housing , becos majority sinkaporeans live from hand to mouth !
10 K COV is also a problem to the natives not to mention the oredi overpriced resale !!
HDB policy is stuck in the messy m&d !
Rid the COV system, PAP also lose votes !
COV too high, PAP also lose votes!
You control the COV , you cause other problem to rise !
In the first place , why HDB allows public houses to sell to foreigners (PRs) to cause so much of problems ?
And yet, majority voters never ask how much is the cost of building public flats !
What cooling measures when there are still many people owning private houses and renting their HDB flats ?
If public housing becomes an investment, more suffering will dawn ! Money is king in sinkapore !
Does HDB dare to disclose how many flats are own by private home owners right now ?
Only Owner-occupier for public houses not workable ?
So you see, we are facing real serious trouble on public housing due to the high-priced private homes !
Most voters are concerned about this issue, but they don’t have the answer , they keep looking to PAP in vain without knowing their answer is their votes !
Next GE , Hope Oppo parties engage the voters bravely and rehabilitate their mindset that most HDB issues can be solved by their votes
You see , people are suffering and if Oppo parties just want to fight the PAP next GE, more suffering will come to the ignorant voters becos voters still go back to PAP when oppo parties cannot give them answer ! Oppo parties have to save the voters from going down deeper inside the HDB abyss !
You oppo need not fight the PAP to win, you just win the majority votes , the weapon to rid the bad things is in the hands of the voters !
Mr Tiu will contribute some ideas on HDB issues to Oppo when the GE draws near, we don’t want to beat the snakes now !
Think about it, how many are lucky to strike TOTO, how many are drawing first world salaries when minimum wage is taboo ???!!!
But the public housing built by cheap labor, and not so expensive raw materials are selling like gold bars !
If we are afraid to knock some senses into the voters mind , what is good if sinkapoe sin dollar is stronger than the green bag ?
