I am not sure if Cow has what kind of heart, but I am as sure as hell that his heart by-pass worth only S$8. He is forced by Singaporeans now to have heart or at least show to have.

Opp MP represent Singaporeans too. So why subject Singaporeans to the heat, lack of privacy and dignity when meeting their MP. Why not make it more efficient for the MP with proper facility purpose built for MP. I am sure the taxpayers do not mind funding a decent MP office with glass enclosed meeting rooms and ac so that contituents can present their cases with dignity and privacy. The days of holding back upgrading money is over.

Ruling Party is silly. They do have a lot to run on. Singapore has come a long way and many have benefited from PAP policies. But yet they allow these silly petty policies like upgrading, minister's pay, not allowing Opposition MP to conduct their work to become the main talking points.

I doubt if this decision was MBT or KBW to make. Its a top down directive, made to piece-meal patch a sinking boat. In view of the "black eye" the pap got during GE2011, and the bigger price to be paid if they continue to allow OP MPS to be conducted at void decks. Mr Khaw is trying hard to win votes so change the HDB policies to be more populist to win votes lah. Since he took over the MND, there is 4000 BTO flats available overnight and then he announce need to build 20,000 rental flats. Marbok Tan on the other hand only wants to build up national reserve with bloody expensive flats.

There is no legislation by design to provide any MP anything except a salary and a miserable allowance for legislative support. In fact the entire PA structure plus the facilities that they provide are designed by law and regulations to support anyone who is appointed by the Govt of the day. That person can be anyone including a bankrupt, a convict or even an undesirable individual. Obviously it was meant to make it hard for the opposition to fulfill their role as an MP and to make it hard for them to reach out to the people.

There is not law broken or breached. It goes to Huntington's point that such things do not allow a country to grow but worse still in the wrong hands it will be abused. It is certainly not fair and not something that taxpayers and citizens would appreciate seeing their hard earned money is abused by the PAP Govt.

The only reason why Khaw made the change was because it was becoming increasingly embarrassing and certainly positive propaganda for the opposition.

The sad part is that many good and capable people in Singapore continue to support the PAP and have no desire to influence or push change in order that fair play is present.
