I only know this happened for a fact. Not only the hawkers suffered a loss of income, they also need to pay for the rent and salaries. Not to mention the inconvenience to the residents for the closure. If you can't even take care of the people especially the vulnerable ones, at least do not exploit them.

Younwanna know what the fuck kind of troubles the pap and their fucking town councils have been inflicting on the hawkers?

By doing fucking needless and wasteful "upgrading" of seemingly ok hawker centres to the tune of tens of millions..... By closing the hawker centres for more than strecthes of 10 months every fucking time....just go and ask how mAny times the hawker cents in the east say the fengshan hawker centre had been upgraded in the last10 syears and you will getthe answer..... You go ask them how they lost income and had to put up their own money to set up a temporary market so that the fucking town council can do their upgrading


You go and ask around who the fuck sits in their hawkerassociation you also willget theanswer....not many of the very hawkers whose lives aregetting adversely impacted have a say or actually sit n these hawkerassociations or have a chance to steer their fucking policies....you wanna find conflict f interests, corruption and self serving bastard contractors who are ripping off town council funds?! Why dont you look there?!


Quarrelling about some cheebye quotation which didnt even result n a real loss....fuck ....make it happen then come and talk la cheebye....then you get something to hang for all to see....make some bullshit smoke and mirros crap about this and tht and you say and i say just to mount. Go and find out what the fuck are the town concils are doing with their monies and who are doing these contractjobs and squandering off public funds for expensive meaningless uselss projects....why the fuck are rentals and conservancy charges constantly going up....why is it that the hawkers themselves were never given a chance to represent their own interests in the association to have a real say when there is any "upgrading"... thenyou see the bigger picture.....
