PEONY JADE’s Signature ‘ORIGINAL Ex-Crown Prince’ Flaky Teochew ‘Orh Ni’ Mooncake with Golden Pumpkin and Single Yolk ...another of my faVOURITE!!!...but damned sweet!!!

Mooncake is best cut into small pieces and eaten using premium toothpicks.

Make sure you buy the premium toothpicks. If you can't afford premium toothpicks, just use ordinary ones. Don't take them in bulk from restaurants.

This year, Peony Jade rolls out four new flavours – Pink Guava with Avocado and Passion Fruit Mooncake ($52 for 8 pieces), Power Berries Berries Mooncake ($55 for 8 pieces), Cream Cheese Mango Mooncake ($50 for 8 pieces), and Salted Gula Melaka with Coconut and Valrhona Dark Chocolate Pearl Mooncake ($48 for 8 pieces) – in addition to the Golden Phoenix (Jin Feng) Durian Mooncake ($74 for 8 pieces) that is making a comeback.

I believe this is pure commercialization...this is really not my type of mooncakes. Really horrid!

You can be sure that the pappies dogs will be sending loads of premium mooncakes to their Master.

Everyone should eat moon cakes to commemorate the symbolic meaning of overthrowing the government

Everyone should eat moon cakes to commemorate the symbolic meaning of overthrowing the government

This reminds me of Zhang Wuji telling his Ming Sect members that secret messages will be put into little cakes, in their bid to fight back against an oppressive Mongol government. Since the moon was shining brightly that night, he decided to call the cakes "mooncakes".

The story is also notable for the traitor and sycophant called Cheng Kun, who would stir shit and create trouble for the ordinary people, so as to por the lumpar of his Mongol masters.

Couldn't help noticing your comment and agree it sure is. Myself I don't go for mooncakes, ever since I was a kid when the festival arrived, I'd only go for the pig in a basket which my friends now tell me ' they're made from leftover dough. Doesn't matter to me, that's what I fancied anyways. Nowadays, I only buy mooncakes for some customers, and the choice is from those with fancy and nice boxes/packaging. I don't bother about the mooncakes or how they taste, just buy them because of the the attractiveness of the box.

Cheers!

the moon will soon rise and fill with light
the ordinary folks will be raised from their grief
the rabid dogs and thugs will plan their flight
the weak and the bullied will fill with great relief

the moon will soon shine upon the evil pack
the bullies and hooligans will dig their graves
the evil and vile will receive their tags
one by one will be buried with their sordid tales
