It's Qing Ming Festival - a period to pray to ancestors and burn offerings. it's traditional chinese custom. everytime Qing Ming, i m reminded by 3 NATIONAL FACTS OF LIFE living in singapore.
in sgp, there are 3 national facts of life: the poor vs the rich.
fact #1 for the rich. they shall remain richer alive than dead.
fact #2 for the poor and average sgporeans. they shall become richer when dead than alive. when dead, we could always burn a merz, a bungalow with dozen servants and even burn an pte jet plane to the deceased.
fact #3 which is also the most practical. you can die but u cannot fall sick. if the sickness doesn't kill u, the medical bills shall.
