Of course he is not responsible for the breakdowns and the poor maintenance but he definitely failed as a minister for transport.
Other than taken a few rides on the MRT, he is still clueless as what the main cause is.
No corrective measures taken to date except the on-going COI which will eventually leads to more regimental preventive maintenance
No amount of maintenance could move a pickup if you load an elephant on it
Seems like he is more interested in protecting the SMRT's revenue by refusing to introduce a parallel bus route to alleviate the overcrowding and overloading problems.
He neither exhibit nor react with any sign of urgency to mitigate these problems
he is not clueless.. he is merely wayang kulit to tell the public it will cost more than the #1 billion we gave to SBS and $4 billion we gave to IMF to sovle this and with plenty of inconvenience.
Do remember, he was singing praise of Saw just like mrs $600K peanuts singing praises of TTDurain. He even go on the record to saY these operators were spening $16 mil on maintenance. guess what in 2 day later, he say 3.5 hours only is not enough to carry out proper maintenance. No wonder cable ties comes in handy as a million$ solution.
