KUALA LUMPUR — The act of two individuals of opposite genders and without family ties riding on the same motorcycle is an “unIslamic” act, the Selangor mufti Mohd Tamyes Abd Wahid reportedly claimed today.

He said that two male and female individuals who are not mahram — either family members or relatives forbidden from marrying each other — riding together on a motorcycle could lead to accusations, and that it would be better not to have ride-sharing service Gojek to avoid such defamatory accusations.

“Not suitable, male and female who are not [mahram] riding the same motorcycle. Maybe the motorcyclist is male and the passenger is female or vice versa. Why must there be such a situation?

“That situation is clearly not Islamic and not polite. Two who are not [mahram] riding a motorcycle, it is not allowed,” he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.

He was commenting on the government’s agreement in principle yesterday for motorcycle ride-sharing services in Malaysia.

The Islamic religious leader was also reported suggesting that the federal government could possibly think of other measures.

Gojek is an Indonesian company that offers popular ride-sharing services on motorcycles in its home country, which has the world’s largest Muslim population. It has also expanded to Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Gojek may not be the only one that could be eyeing business opportunities in Malaysia, as e-hailing firm Grab today also sought Malaysians’ opinions on if it were to provide motorcycle ride-sharing services which it said it has been providing since 2014 in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Local firm Dego Ride had in late 2016 pioneered the provision of short motorcycle ride-sharing trips as a transportation solution, although such services was previously rejected by the government. MALAY MAIL

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — Selangor Umno said today it will push for the amendment to the Islamic Religious Administration Enactment (State of Selangor) to allow unilateral child conversions to be tabled in the state legislative assembly sitting in November.

Malaysiakini quoted Selangor Umno chief Mat Nadzari Ahmad Dahlan as saying that its five state lawmakers are ready to support Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari on the matter.

“If possible, we hope the Bill can be tabled in the upcoming sitting and freedom will be given to our assemblymen (to support it) because we have no problem supporting the mentri besar to ensure the Bill is passed,” he reportedly said, adding that there would be “deviant” parties who will object to the Bill.

Amirudin has said the Bill allowing for the unilateral conversion of minors could still be tabled at the next state legislative assembly sitting, despite conflicting views on the issue.

Tensions have built up within Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) as it was said there is a split among the ruling coalition’s state lawmakers over the proposed amendment which would allow the unilateral conversion of minors to Islam.

It is understood that Amirudin had planned to push through an amendment to a state enactment, which currently says that individuals below 18 must obtain the consent of both “mother and father” before converting to Islam.

The planned amendment will see a change of this wording to “mother or father”; meaning that one parent will get to decide the conversion of a minor.

Amirudin was handpicked by Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, who was Selangor mentri besar from 2015 to 2018, to succeed him after PH took power following the 14th general election last May.

Motor cycle rides in Vietnam is a good replacement for vibrators which are very difficult to get in Vietnam.
Could be the product development opportunity for vibrator manufacturers to explore product enhancements
for their brands.

Bicycle seats put more pressure on the loins. Clearly cycling should be ban first!

A moslem country is essentially a failed country, riddled with pedophilia, persecution and exporting of terrorism.

A Moslem country is not a failed country - it is his low IQ people that makes the failed country.

Example : Philippines. Majority are Christian/Catholic. Being the same race as the Malays (Indonesia, Malaysia) with an IQ of 80++, so you can easily guess that their economic status to be similar among the Malay Archipelago countries.

However, most Moslem countries happen to have low IQ population. Thus, they are failed countries. Or else just name a progressive country that have majority low IQ population.
