SINGAPORE: Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam hosted the National Day Reception at the Istana on Saturday evening.

The reception is an annual event held to celebrate Singapore's birthday.

The guests included Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.

MPs were also present, along with grassroots leaders.

I can read those hard clammy hands...their main problem at the moment will be, LKY passes into oblivion, the writing is already on the wall; pass on, that will be later. The team that LKY brought us into what we were today is solid...the legacy now, is a 'solid looking' rock, that is porous on the inside & will crumble, if you knock that rock hard enough..not the LKY team which could be the Ironwood of old...the wood that is made into the plank that hang above the door, that can last for generations...that plank, we call "lau ban".

Unless they warm those, cold clammy hands...the problems at hand is enormous...the rock will shatter!
