Ali Qadhi, Hamas Commander Behind October 7 Attack Killed: Israeli Forces
Gaza: As per the Israeli Defence Forces have stated that Ali Qadhi, the Hamas commander behind the October 7, 2023 Attack, has been killed. Israeli army has stated that an aircraft working under intelligence guidance, "eliminated" Qadi today.
As per the Times of Israel, Ali Qadhi was the company commander in the "Nukhba Unit". He was killed today during a drone strike directed by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate. Taking to X, the Israeli Air Force confirmed the killing of the commander.
"Air Force aircraft, under the intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet Qadhi, a commander in the Nakhba force of the terrorist organization Hamas, who led a terrorist attack in the settlements surrounding Gaza last weekend. In 2005 Ali was arrested following the kidnapping and murder of Israelis and was returned as part of the Gilad Shalit deal," stated the IAF.
As per the IDF, Qadhi was arrested in Israel in 2005 for kidnapping and murdering Israeli civilians. The Hamas commander had been released to Gaza as part of the 2011 Gilah Shalit prisoner exchange programme.
Last night, the Head of the Hamas Aerial System in Gaza City, Merad Abu Merad, was killed by air strikes carried out by IAF fighter jets.
"During the strike, IAF fighter jets killed Merad Abu Merad who was the head of the Hamas Aerial System in Gaza City, and was largely responsible for directing terrorists during the massacre on Saturday," stated the Israeli Air Force on X.
Hamas has launched a surprise attack on Israel and infiltrated southern Israel. During the attack, 5000 rockets were launched towards the Jewish state and around 260 people were killed at the Nove Music festival in southern Israel, Hamas also too hundreds of Israelis captive on the first day of the attack.
