the word 'enough' from Seng does not means the Indians and Malays are not good with English (as in text book and for oral examination purpose) but as medium of communication their accent to speak in English 'is not good enough to announce in an emergency'. I wonder if it was really that they could not comm enough, or well enough. These staff are not going to create their own message, so it's not about their fluency. It is about the content, and that was not forthcoming.

I am sure that if they were told to ask passengers to do this or that, or go here or there for this or that, even if they all spoke in the worst of Singlish, the contents of the message would have come across. I mean, what's so difficult to say, "Pls follow here to take free shuttle buses", or "Go to exit B for bus", or "Pls not panic, help coming".
