As far as i know, there is only one raja in " tanah melayu". And that is raja of perlis which still retains its hindu past and srate is also known as indera kayangan. The other states rulers are sultans including perak, which are descendants of malacca sultanate. The other branch of malacca sultanate in johore ended in 1699 without a heir.

Well as per the petition this rajah is Chenga Ibrahim - representative of king of Perak - and commonly called Rajah of Larote.
