LTA reopens one lane at Bukit Timah Road

One of the two lanes along Bukit Timah Road was opened to traffic by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) at 5pm today.

The two lanes on Bukit Timah Road towards Woodlands Road, near the junction with Clementi Road were closed on Jan 17 after a 14-metre precast segment of the Bukit Timah canal wall near the junction was dislodged, and some gaps in the ground were formed around that segment of the canal.

The LTA said today that LTA engineers will need a few more days to complete repair works before the right most lane can be opened to traffic.

The lane is expected to open on Friday evening.

Motorists are advised to be careful when driving along this stretch of road.

Junction of Bukit Timah Road and Clementi Road is Sunset Way, Maju Camp, Ngee Ann Poly etc... I doubt there are any super-rich elite folks living there. You'll find the rich folks living in the houses along Dunearn Road, Sixth Avenue, Holland Road, and on both sides of Farrer Road and Adam Road.
